When comparing participation across the Sep-21 to Sep-25 MAT, all specialist channels, including bakeries, fishmongers, butchers, and delicatessens, have seen increased participation at a national level, whereas greengrocer participation has decreased. This suggests that supermarkets are increasingly meeting the fruit and vegetable needs of shoppers.

Bakery grew by +5.2%, fishmonger by +0.3%, butcher by +1.2%, and delicatessen by +1.3%, while greengrocer declined by -2.4%.
