Fruit trends Australia show overall growth, with some standout performers and a few categories softening.

The retail performance of fruits for the year ending September 2025 shows strong value and volume gains across several standout categories.

Kiwifruit recorded the strongest uplift with a 31% increase in value and a 32% rise in volume, followed closely by watermelons (25% value, 25% volume) and grapes (20% value, 17% volume), all recording robust growth.

In contrast, pineapples showed the slowest growth, with value down -7% and volume falling -24%. Blueberries also faced pressure (0% value, -13% volume), while pears saw value dip -2% alongside a 12% drop in volume.
