The June quarter of 2025 recorded a 10% fruit price change, with the average wholesale price of total fruits rising from $3.80 per kilogram to $4.15 per kilogram compared to the same period last year.
Among the strongest performers, avocados led with a 52% increase, rising from $2.70 to $4.10 per kilogram. Other notable gains included grapes, up 36% to $4.10 per kilogram, rockmelons, lifting 27% to $2.70 per kilogram, cherries, up 21% to $29.50 per kilogram, and watermelons, which rose 19% to $1.30 per kilogram.
In contrast, the largest price declines were seen in raspberries, down 23% from $29.90 to $23 per kilogram, blueberries, falling 12% to $49.90 per kilogram, and strawberries, dropping 17% $13.40 per kilogram. Pears eased 9% to $2.40 per kilogram.
