Exports peaked at 217,780 tonnes in CY-2021 before declining to 187,135 tonnes in CY-2022. A partial recovery followed in CY-2023, with volumes rising to 194,258 tonnes. However, in CY-2024, exports dipped slightly again to 185,958 tonnes, reflecting the market’s ongoing volatility.
South Korea’s demand for Australian vegetables reached a new high in 2024. Imports surged from 16,973 tonnes in CY-2021, climbing 21% from 20,414 tonnes in CY-2023 to 24,600 tonnes in CY-2024.
