Fruit Wholesale Price Changes: September Quarter 2024 vs. 2023

The September quarter of 2024 has seen an increase in the wholesale price of total fruit at $4.33 per kilogram, up from $3.97 per kilogram in the same period last year. This represents a year-on-year percentage increase of 9%.

Among the various fruit categories, the top three experiencing the largest price increases in the September quarter include avocados, mandarins and strawberries.  

Conversely, the three fruit showing the largest price decreases include watermelons, blackberries and pineapples.
