Adwatch

Adwatch-fresh is a subscription based service that profiles the detail of all retailer food promotional advertising in Australia.

 

Retailer fresh food advertising has a heavy impact on the market. It sets seasonal market prices, affects consumer perception of value and, most importantly, drives the switching between competing fresh food alternatives. Promotional activity in other categories can have a similar but less significant effect on pricing.

 

Freshlogic has developed the Adwatch-fresh service to collate and translate this retail advertising data into a form that can be used to support trading, planning and assessment in your business.

 

This new service collects the complete detail of all fresh food adverts, including catalogues, from food retailers in the five main states. We have collected and processed two years of historical data, covering the fresh food categories of Dairy, Fruit & Vegetables and Protein (Meat, Poultry and Seafood).

 

Data can be collected, analysed and reported on a weekly basis with reports available to subscribers on the Friday of the week of the adverts. A spreadsheet of  raw data is also provided to enable further analysis, with 85% of the weekly data available on the Monday of the adverts, and the complete data set available on the Friday.

 

For more detailed requirements, We have extended our capacity to process all food advertising for availability on a daily basis.

 

Expanded service capability

 

A range of analysis methods and tools have been built to profile the category market price. More advanced “Adwatch views” are provided and they include the extent of retailer private label, number of imported lines, percentage of discount offered, the targeted meal occasion and preparation method.

 

This relevant and timely information can give you the capacity to influence how promotional activity drives retail category value and volume.

 

Users also have the freedom to tailor their reporting outputs according to their individual needs and informational requirements. For example, a Seafood wholesale may only be interested in the relative pricing of Australian and Imported Shellfish & may  choose to have this monitored monthly. All reporting outputs, whether standard or tailored, will be distributed via PDF or online through this website and are protected by copyright.
